what size electric cords are needed for this generator??


it is best to have a 12 gauge at least. the longer the cord the more drain on it. 14 gauge cords can cause problems because of the smaller size wire.

I have used a 25 foot 30 amp extension cord with a 20 amp male plug to plug into a transfer switch. In the manual, I think it states the longer the cord, the more voltage fluctuation you may incur. I think the maximum recommended distance for a standard extension cord is 50 ft.

I suggest using any outdoor extension cord is fine. Stay between 10 and 16 gauge.
