The answer to the correct towing height depends on a couple of things the height of your SUV and the drop on the ball mount you are using. You will want to purchase a ball mount that has the correct "drop" to allow the trailer to tow level for your vehicle, there is not a blanket answer however you can anticipate the tongue being approximately 20" from the road surface on this trailer when level.
