Can you take the tailgate off?


Our gates are designed to fold inside the trailer which would allow you to carry the 10' kayak with overhang. Remember to flag any overhang and securely tiedown your load.

Nope you can’t take the tailgate off as it comes from the factory. BUT if you know someone who is handy with a welder you can reconfigure the hinges so you can! I did this to a 4’ x 7’ trailer so I could haul 4’ x 8’ plywood and it worked well.

you can but not a safe way to move anything and you might get a ticket from the PD!
