Would this fit my troy bilt pony 42 inch deck?

I just installed it on my Troy Built Horse 46". It fit perfectly. I was skeptical after reading reviews with people having trouble with the chute (not same size) or rear brackets holes not aligned. I had no problem installing it on my TB "Horse" 46". Craftsmen & Troy Built are MTD lawn tractors.

Yes, I just installed it on mine. Follow the instructions for the '700 Series' tractors. You will have to bolt on the mounting bracket (Figure 4 pg. 8). The bolts are triangular and self tapping. I Used some blue Loc-Tite and split washers to make sure they stayed put. The instructions were a bit screwy - supplemental instructions said to use a hardware packet # that wasn't in the kit. Had to use a bolt from a previous step/packet. But if you're even a bit handy, you can figure it out. You will need a 1/2 and 7/16 socket, otherwise it was tool free. Hope that helps.

I have a 2016 troy bilt pony 42 inch and it fit great. The bracket that mounts to the tractor at the bottom has to be mounted opposite of the instructions.
