I have an older Craftsman rider, and it cuts in reverse. I do not have to manipulate anything to do it. I simply put the mower in reverse and back up.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes, Just turn the key towards the left side of the mower from the run position to the empty space in between OFF and RUN and press the triangle.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes but you have put into the left setting there on the right dash area AND push the yellow button every time or it will cut out instead of going in reverse.
Was this Answer Helpful ?With the engine running, engage the blades, have the ignition key straight up and down in the yellow zone, and hold the yellow triangle button in until light above the ignition panel comes on, you can now mow in the reverse position.
