Our oT240 is brand new and the battery keeps dying. Anyone have this problem?

I only Run my T240 half Throttle when cutting I've had no issues with the Battery

Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes I found out that you have to take the key out when storing because if you leave the key in, the headlights stay on. the second issue was if you're running the lawn mower, you got to have it on high throttle the whole time so it charges the battery, if you have it on medium throttle battery is not getting charged while engine is running
Was this Answer Helpful ?When i got mine they didn't tighten the battery terminals. Check them as it may not be charging the battery because of loose connection. Could also be a bad battery or problem with voltage regulator

Was this Answer Helpful ?It could be a bad battery. My only recommendation is that the manual states: When operating the tractor be certain that the throttle lever is always in the FAST position. Operating with the throttle at less than full throttle may lead to shortened battery life. If you let it idle at low throttle, or am cutting at low throttle a lot this could explain the issue. Else it could be a bad cell in the battery. You could take the battery to any auto parts store and they usually have a machine they can put the battery on to check charge abd discharge over night to determine if a cell is bar.
