i bought the t100 lawn tractor and just wondering how to change speed on the go without using the clutch? also it says 7 speeds. where is# 1?


Troy-Bilt tech said to press the clutch/brake pedal part way (too far will apply the brake), move the CVT lever to a new position, then release pedal.

Item #1461297 - 1. Move the throttle into the FAST position. 2. Depress the brake pedal and move the Park Brake/CVT Drive Control Lever out of the Park position. 3. Place the shift lever in either the FORWARD (F) or REVERSE (R) position. 4. Release clutch-brake pedal fully. 5. Gradually begin to apply pressure to the drive pedal. The further down the pedal is pushed, the faster the tractor will travel in the desired direction based on the position of the shift lever. 6. Stop the tractor by releasing the drive pedal and then depressing the brake pedal. Thank you for your question.
