Yes, but you need to take the staples off. It will leave a gap for the other section to lay on top of it. Then you use a staple to drive through both. This allows them to stay together and stay in the ground.

Was this Answer Helpful ?They sure can be! That is the whole idea, that way you have a "seamless" run of edging from beginning to end. Remove the attached stakes (two on each end) and the edging pieces will overlap, one over the other.
