When connecting 2 pieces what is the actual length of those 2 pieces since they over lap?


The pieces overlap each other by 8"; subtracting that 8" from the overall length of 8' (96") leaves you with 7' 4" (88"). If you convert that to a decimal each piece covers 7.33', so multiply your number of pieces by 7.33 and that will tell you the actual footage you will get. In your case of 2 pieces you'll get 14.66', or 14' 8". On one end or the other you can leave the attached stakes in place and gain that 8" back if you need to.
