Hi, If the max dimension to make the bend is only 3 inches, that's pretty sharp. If the bend radius is 3 inches you'll need about 5 inches of EMT conduit to make the bend. That is a sharp bend and probably will "kink" the conduit.. If you drop by the nearest Lowes you'll see plastic 90 degree bend conduit, that will give you an idea of a gentle bend. Not much room to bend. Might look into a flex conduit plastic or metal and adapt it to the EMT (OK for indoors).
