Bruce (Sample) Frisco Gunstock Oak 3/4-in T x 5-in W Smooth/Traditional Solid Hardwood Flooring
Is this floor safe for use in the kitchen, or will water damage it? Can it be damp mopped?

Good morning. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. Hardwood floors are acceptable for use in a kitchen; however, they would not be our first recommendation. Hardwood flooring can be damaged by standing water. We always recommend keeping floor mats in areas where spills are likely (in front of the sink, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher) and be sure to clean up any liquids spilled on the floor as quickly as possible. Cleaning with water is never recommended with a wood floor. We only recommend cleaning with Bruce Hardwood and Laminate Floor Cleaner. This is a fast evaporating cleaner that will not leave excess moisture on your floor. Wood floors in a kitchen require more caution than a wood like vinyl plank floor, which would be our first recommendation for in a kitchen. I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.
