I've always thought that a non vented hood really didn't do much good. Does the filtration system on this one remove smoke and other particulates?


No, this product is designed with a charcoal filter to trap odors and smoke will not be removed by this filter.

A non-duct range hood comes with a charcoal filter. The filter is designed to trap odors. Since it is recirculating the air, smoke with not be 'removed' from the room. The filter may reduce it some, but it will not trap the smoke. Thank you.
