Question: When fuel filter is needed


Engine will stall shortly after starting or not start if fuel isn't visible at inlet AND outlet lines.

I change mine once a year usually at the beginning of the season.

This could be caused by a couple things; carbon build-up on the head, valves not seating properly, intake manifold air leak, blockage in the carburetor, etc. Please take the unit to an authorized Briggs & Stratton service dealer for diagnosis.
