This product was recommended by the salesman for my new dryer. Is it ok to use this one?


Yes it is. I used the same one for our new gas range. Use the white paste sealant that comes with it, specifically for gas and apply liberally and use the green soap to check for leaks after you turn on the gas. A crescent wrench is all you need.

This kit contains a gas connector that is meant for larger demand appliance (up to 106,000 BTU's total demand) such as a gas range or furnace. Dryers usually use around 22,000 to 28,000 BTU's; if this is consistent with your appliance, we would recommend the Dryer /Range Installation Kit, item #: 134133 | Model #: PSC1081. The fittings included with this kit are also more aligned with typical dryer connections.
