New tub, new RUST. Mansfield website:Pro-Fit® bathtubs have an integrated high-gloss, bright porcelain non-porous finish. My tub is cracked & rusty.


Can I send a photo? This is NOT surface or superficial at all. This is cracked and crazed. Barkeepers is NOT recommended for porcelain.

Hello Michie, this is what the manufacturer calls surface rust. Surface rust is construction debris that has become trapped in the non-skid surface on our tub. This would not be considered a manufacturing defect. Many of our customers have had success by following these instructions: Bar Keepers Friend (powder version), Create a paste with the cleaner, Scrub with a stiff nylon brush and rinse, If necessary you can repeat the process, **Bar Keepers Friend is found in the Dish Detergent aisle at Wal-mart** If you haven't already, we want to encourage you to reach out to the Mansfield Support team at 1-800-999-1459 between 8am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday.
