What types of sump pumps can this item be used with (submersible, pedestal, etc)?

The switch can be used with many types of pump. In some cases you may need to remove or alter the factory switch on your existing primary; for example a Zoeller M53 would need the factory float tied in the on position before plugging into the Watchdog Dual Float Controller. Failure to do so would not allow the pump to operate so make sure to check your pump. The switch can be used with submersible pumps and pedestal pumps, just be sure to check the factory switch.
