can the "basement watchdog float switch and controller" be used for a septic lift station and if so, how will the controller mechanism work?


No, we do not recommend that you use this switch for septic situations since if there is too much build up on the float it will make the float stick either in the up or downward position causing it to either pump continuously or not pump at all. The dual float controller can not be used in a septic pit. The switch has moving parts and the septic pit water would cause the switch to become stuck causing the pump to either run continuously or not at all.
