Was this Answer Helpful ?It will only alarm when moisture is on both contacts. Once it is dried and there is no moisture on the contacts then yes it will shut off

Was this Answer Helpful ?The sensor sit about a 1/8" off the bottom of the pan. So if the leak is really small and your attic is really hot, it may take a couple extra days for it to set off.
