What is the shortest cut length this clamp can make?

The movable clamp slides freely in both directions allowing the user to adjust cut lengths which can be reduced until the sliding clamp's front surface meets the fixed clamp. Keeping safety in mind, the shortest cut length would ultimately be determined by the type a power tool being used.
