The Bayer Advanced Complete Insect Killer is not harmful to earthworms or other beneficial insects as long as it is used according to the directions on the label.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Short answer: yes. Purchased on sale to kill mole crickets at our coastal SC residence and applied on September 1 IAW instructions before a 6 hour rain shower. After 48 hours we are unable to remain in the yard due to the putrid stench of hundreds of decomposing earthworms that have come to the surface and died in a chemical-induced fervor. To complicate matters, the yard is now full of annoying black flies feasting on the rotting worm flesh. Additionally, the beneficial Carolina Anole Lizards that feed on mosquitos and black flies are dying by the scores. The irony of this trifecta; our yard is still covered with mole cricket granular mounds as the insect pests continue to feast on our Palmetto grass roots... Will look for a less-genocidal organic alternative next season.
