does the valve shut off the fuel


This is for gas. The other poster said the picture with the gas pump with a slash through it simply means it is a fuel shut off valve. I know. I have used many of them.

Contrary to the other answer, this valve is for gasoline. The gas pump with the slash through it indicates the fuel is turned off.

this valve should NOT be used on gasoline. Picture on red on/off part has a circle with a diagonal line and a gas pump in it....this says not to be used with gasoline.
