Will these cameras work with my router


In a way, yes and no. The cameras come with a base station that you connect via ethernet cable to your internet modem. Some people use the terms modem and router interchangeably. I did have a problem of not having an available ethernet connection on the back of my internet modem. I solved that problem by buying: NETGEAR ProSAFE GS108 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch (GS108-400NAS). It was very easy to setup and only cost $49.95. The entire setup was easy. I was VERY surprised at how easily the cameras synced to the base station.
