How does the outgoing mail work ? If it locks how does mailman get the outgoing mail

Thank you for your interest in our products. When you open the door there is a mail clip on it, you put your out going mail under the mail clip and pull your flag out to let the mail carrier know there is outgoing mail.

Mailmen have a master key to unlock mailboxes.
