Do I need a 4x4 wood post fpr this to slide over? Aren't there supposed to be instructions included?


You do NOT need a 4x4 wood post for this model to slide over. This is an in-ground post that requires digging a hole, placing the post inside and back filling with concrete. Yes, you should have instructions included with the post. If your instructions are missing from the packaging, please visit the manufacturer's website at www.architecturalmailboxes.com, click on downloads, installation instructions, Standard 4" Posts; Items 5105, 5106, 5525 and 5526.
