Do you have to have a lever handled door for this to work? Or is a regular doorknob okay?


The eufy Fingerprint Smart Lock is designed to replace a standard single-cylinder deadbolt used with a lever or knob. It typically requires a lever handle to operate correctly because the smart lock mechanism needs to engage and disengage the deadbolt. A regular doorknob alone is not sufficient for the installation of most smart locks, including the eufy Fingerprint Smart Lock, because doorknobs do not have the deadbolt mechanism that the smart lock controls.
