I bught this today and decided to change the light bulb from 60 watt to 40 watt and the fixture is really hot, as hot as the light bulb, is this norma


Hi Dugan. The fixture should not be overly hot. Please ensure that you are only using either incandescent or compact fluorescent bulbs 100 watts or less if the bulb is installed upwards or a bulb 60 watts or less if the bulb is installed pointing down.
