Can the photo control sensor be replaced?


Cooper Industries makes this and here are Lowes models in catalogue. This model AL3050LPCGY says integrated photo control. There is a better model that Lowes sells $129 Item # 739417 Model # AL5550LPCGY that says replaceable photo control. I wonder if the newer more expensive replaceable photo control could be used in the old model?

It is possible to replace it but you can't find the part. Lowes doesn't carry this one. They carry standard photo cell replacements. It's usually an easy fix. Not so with this light.

Yes, the cell is located in the top of the fixture and looks to be an average size over the counter photo cell.
