where do I put the batteries

Hello Pat, The batteries will go in the back of the display where the battery compartment is. For the sensor you remove the cone shaped bottom piece by pressing down on the clip on the side of the sensor. You will then see the battery compartment there, and insert the batteries. Thank you.
