Why does this have a Prop 65 cancer warning? Can you provide more details please?

The process to create polystyrene uses the chemical compound benzene. Benzene is known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm. The state of California requires that consumers be made aware of the presence of this chemical, as well as more than 900 others, under Proposition 65.
