Can you get extensions for this auger, so it will go deeper?

At Lowes, no. At other places and the internet, yes. 12 inch and 18 inch extensions are both made by Earthquake and fit this powerhead. Was this Answer Helpful ?The manufacturer does not offer an extension. Because the bit channels the dirt upwards and out of the hole, an extension, rather than a longer bit, would need manual removal of the broken up material.
Was this Answer Helpful ?I doubt it would go deeper even if you had an extension unless what you are digging in is very soft. This is not an extremely powerful auger. I bought it for drilling holes for one and 5 gallon plants and its pretty good for that but in our rock hard sierra red dirt, I don't think this would ever get to 2 feet deep without the clutch stalling
