Hi Kathy! Flowering cabbage will add bursts of much-needed color to your early spring or fall garden. A snap to grow, both flowering kale and cabbage, love cool weather and can tolerate light frosts. You can plant them out at any time, but the colorful pigmentation doesn't develop until after prolonged cold weather. If you plant them too early in the fall or late summer, the plants will get leggy and remain green. We hope this helps.
