With this paint selection, will I need to clean and prime the wall or can I just paint?

Thank you for taking the time to ask a question. You should also paint over a clean wall, but the paint can be used as the primer coat. There are times when you'll want to use a Primer coat. Specifically in cases of a surface having older paint on the walls that hasn't been painting a long time, or having a flat sheen paint on the walls. The paint is used as primer as well as the topcoat. The first coat of this paint is the primer coat and you would want to apply another coat as the topcoat. Both old paint/flat sheen paint will be porous and will soak up the paint more quickly. Using a Primer coat over both would offer the best results.
