Valspar Signature Satin Ultra White Tintable Interior Paint Paint + Primer ( 1-gallon )
Used this paint tinted to a Valspar color on primed oak veneer paneling and on a faux wood grain door. It looks to be two different shades. Why?

The different types of surfaces absorb the paint differently and that affects the color when it dries. If you put another coat on after the first has dried, both of the second coats are actually sitting on paint so the colors should be closer, if not the same.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The reason why it is 2 different colors is because its 2 different types of wood. If you want the same color you need to use just 1 type of wood.
Was this Answer Helpful ?It is difficult to say why without further details. The color difference may be attributed to what was on each surface prior to applying the paint.
