Why does the wall look patchy even after it dries

You may be applying to much pressure on the applicator causing patchy areas on the surface. To avoid patchy results always keep a wet edge and use premium quality roller, polyester brush or airless sprayer. If applying by roller, roll from dry area into wet area using firm, crisscross strokes. Finish with long, even strokes in one direction.
