I stained my fence about 5 years ago and it is showing wear. Can I apply a new coat on the existing coat or do I have to sand the entire fence ?


Hello. The surface will need to be porous in order to accept a new coat of stain. We recommend to perform a splash test, if water penetrates then the surface can be cleaned and a new coat applied.
