Assuming you mean latex paint, water is used to thin the paint. Read the instructions to your particular sprayer for thinning instructions. Different sprayers have specific instructions, as to the type of paint you are thinning. Hope this helps Aloha from Maui Peter Williams
Was this Answer Helpful ?We do not recommend thinning Valspar Duramax Exterior Paint for a spray application. We do recommend an airless sprayer using a PSI of 2,000 and a tip size of 0.19".
