The term "Moisture Damaged Wood" could be interpreted to reflect different things. Generally speaking however damage from moisture causes the wood to decay or rot. If the wood has begun to decay and is soft to the touch and no longer has its original density there is no paint manufactured regardless of quality that can be successfully applied to this surface, The damaged area(s) must replaced in whole or in part, primed and then finish painted.
