Thinning the Valspar 4000 is not recommended. For an airless spray application 2000 psi with a tip size of 0.015-0.019” is recommended.

When spraying oil-based products, thinning (with the appropriate solvent) is usually 1/2 pint per gallon of product (or about 5%).
