I just applied a coat of solid stain to my deck and I don't think I chose the right color. Can I apply a 2nd coat in a different color over the 1st?


Yes, is the surface is still porous. You can drop a small amount of water on the surface, if the water soaks in your substrate is still porous enough to accept additional coat of stain. If the water beads up your substrate is sealed and you will have to strip the current stain then reapply.
