Have other complained of crackling finish? Just used this as a primer/ceiling paint and every surface has a horrible cracked finished

I own a popcorn removal company and have been using valspar ceiling paint and primer for the last 8 years. We had crackling happen on two jobs in this time frame and it was because the texture on the surface was not completely dry. The texture dried with the paint and caused the paint the crackle. This is not a paint issue, it is a texture issue.

Thank you for taking the time to ask a question. I haven't heard of that before, but there are some general reasons that might cause cracking. Applying the paint too heavy would be the leading reason for cracking. Contamination on the surface and/or incompatibility with another coating on the surface would be another general reason.
