I want to use this paint on a small piece of indoor furniture. How many coats would this require?

Thank you for your question. The sample cans are meant to test the color on the surface, they are not meant to be the final finish on your project. You would need to purchase a larger size paint and then have it tinted to this particular color. Regards, Linda @ Valspar Customer Support
