Can you use this on older wood that hasn’t been stained or sealed

Be sure surface is free of all dirt, mildew stains, loose wood fibers, and other foreign matter. On untreated weathered surfaces, scrubbing with a stiff bristle brush or sanding may be required to completely remove all loose wood fibers.
