I USED OLYMPIC ELITE ONE COAT STAIN ON OUR DECK LAST YEAR AND ALREADY IT IS PEELING AWAY. A NEIGHBOR SUGGESTED CABOT SOLID STAIN ???


Sorry for the delay in response. We apologize you are having an issue with peeling. There are a few reasons for stain peeling. Over-application of the stain, heavy exposure to moisture (not cleaning off snow and allowing it to melt on the decking), the deck being previously sealed, or contamination on the deck before the application. There are other causes including the wood splintering/cracking that can lead to a stain to peel.
