I'm going to apply this when the temp will be above 40 for 18 hours, then drop to 33 for 1 hr, then back up above 40 for 12 more hrs. Will I be OK?


FYI to others, I tried this, and it worked just fine, although the low went down to 38 rather than 33 for one hour. So above 40 for 23 hours works.

I see that Valspar answered that the temp must be above 50 for 24 hours. I specifically bought this stain bc of its claimed minimum working temp of 35. Is Valspar now backing off on that claim?

Thanks for taking the time to ask a question. No, the temperature should remain above 50 degrees during the application and remain above 50 degrees F for 24 hours after the application to avoid drying issues. Respectfully, Reggie
