with new drywall, will primer and paint in one work good


Primer and paint will work fine as long as you don't use a Valspar product. Check out the reviews from the newest something happened with this company and they currently produce terrible paint across the board

Thank you for your question. We always recommend priming new drywall with a separate primer to seal the surface before application of the top coat.

No. You should use a PVA primer. The new drywall will just soak up all the paint and you will need to do a few coats, and you will get flashing.
