USG Durock Brand cement board with EdgeGuard offers architects, builders and tile contractors a strong, water-durable tile base for tub and shower areas. Also an ideal underlayment for tile on floors and countertops in new construction and remodeling. Board is readily applied over wood or steel framing spaced 16 in. o.c. with corrosion-resistant wood, steel screws or hot-dipped galvanized roofing nails. After joints are treated, wall or floor tile is applied using latex-fortified mortar or Type I organic adhesive.

Schluter Systems   Ditra 197-in x 39-in Uncoupling and Waterproofing membrane

Ditra is an uncoupling membrane designed for ceramic and stone tile installations on floors. It provides uncoupling to prevent cracked tile and grout. Made of polyethylene it serves as a waterproofing layer that protects moisture-sensitive substrates, such as plywood/OSB. Ditra provides support and load distribution along with vapor management to ensure durable tile installations. The membrane is 1/8-in thick which minimizes the overall thickness of the assembly reducing transitions to lower surfaces.

The Schiene profile is designed to finish and protect tile edges on floors and walls. It is ideal for creating floor transitions between tile and another surface of the same height such as carpet or wood.
