Worked as advertised
Our lawn is only four years old as it was a new build in 2021. I have a Brinley aerator which I have use in the second and third fall. This summer was very hot and watering helped but I still ended up with a lot of bare spots which I noticed had thatch. I bought this dethacher based on my good experience with the aerator. This is an average suburban size lawn and I loaded five large lawn bags of thatch. I had no problem following the directions and assembling. Watching the video prior does help ...

We used to have this dethatcher to get rid of undergrowth for overseeding. It does a nice job for overseeding. For those overseeding & got dead growth, I would recommend this dethatcher.

More Features than competitors
I've used this 3 times and like the fact I can adjust the pressure. I was able to use it full depth and scarify the soil areas. 1/2 depth to thatch the grass areas. Then after overseeding i used it on the dirt areas without weight to sow the seed. It's heavy duty and looks like it will last forever.

Best Directions and Parts Packaging Ever!
Very happy with product...Excellent Directions and sealed parts that were exceptionally labeled and easy to follow...other retailers should follow your example. Started out on setting 3, wow and worked down to 2. Never got to 1...It pulled so much thatch out ...very happy with it...never had to put weights on it...acquaintance suggested old brake rotor over handle but never needed. Would recommend to anyone. Have with quality...and performance.

Finally, a well-built product that works!
I have hesitated in the past in buying a de-thatcher, thinking that most would not stand up to the wear and tear. Brinly has solved that problem. This is the most well-built item I have bought in the past 10 years. It is sturdy and works better than advertised. Make sure you follow the instructions in putting it together, the online video does help as well. The placement of the bolts between the tines can be tricky, you will need several size wrenches, and it will help to have a set of long sock...
