Can detect metal

It can detect metal (copper) pipes close to the dry wall. For extra sensitivity for pipes, hold the scanner away from the wall until it does its calibration. This makes it more sensitive to detect the metal. If you want it less sensitive, hold it where the metal is until it is done calibrating.

Terrible!

Terrible for the price I had a hole in the wall and can see the stud and this thing would never pick it up in the correct spot. I went back to my trust worthy old one. Thought I would pay a lot for a updated stud finder and was a disappointment.

Wall Scanner & Stud Finder

This is a nice littel device which I played with in my basement workshop along a wall where I was certain that the wall studs lined up exactly with the celling joists (as a point of reference). I compared it against my old school magnetic screw finder. It did a really good job of acurately defining the left and right edges of the wall studs. Very cool features

Listen, it takes a bit for me to get excited about hanging things on the wall but this is going to be a game changer. I opened the packaging, started scanning, and then squealed with delight when the little red arrow appeared, indicating the center of the stud. The unit is lightweight and runs on one 9v battery. Best Stud Finder I've Used

You always hope that the stud finder you use is clear, easy to use and accurate. The Zircon H3 gives a very clear reading on its screen. It's definitely best to read the directions to clarify the picture symbols that are used. It beeped once calibrated and when wiring was detected. The device is also easy to use. This is nice stud finder, that feels very well built. It is easy to use and intuitive with one button operation. When it finds a stud it projects a red arrow to allow for easy location (see photos). You get what you pay for

I have bought cheap $5 and $10 stud finders in the past. Yet I still manage to have to use multiple attempts at drilling before hitting a stud. This zircon superscan is so much better. In the pat with the cheap stud finders I have found pipe or random electrical stuff. This stud finder uses multiple sensors to actually find the stud. Easy to Use, Cool Features

The Superscan was exactly what I needed to prepare for mounting our new televisions. It was super easy to use, simply push the button, hold level, and scan! When a stud is detected a red arrow projects on the wall. This model beats the competition with Target Control which can help differentiate wood studs from plumbing, screws, or ducts.
