The patent-pending U-beam design is significantly stronger and more durable than the typical I beam found elsewhere. Powered by a Briggs and Stratton xr1450 engine, and ergonomically designed for optimal performance, safety and ease of use, this horizontal and vertical log splitter cuts through wood effortlessly and efficiently, log after log. The size and weight make it a great option for frequent towing. Other features included as standard are protective log cradles on both sides, solid stamped steel fenders, and the patent-pending log spinner plate that reduces stress on the beam.

I have had this unit for a year, and it works well. I heat my home with wood and have thrown different types of wood through it. (Oak, ash, maple). It doesn't bog down. I am impressed with this splitter. The only issue I have is a small hydraulic leak near the handle where it meets the actual piston, ive tried to fix it but still leaks, a small leak but it has been that way since I purchased it. Just add a little hydraulic oil at the start of the year and it's good to go. I have left it out in t...

Horrible Quality - China Junk

I purchased 2 of these 30 ton units and ended up returning both to Lowes. First one originally purchased and had delivered to store. Picked up, took home and fairly straight forward to assemble. After looking over the unit, I noticed the welding on the top and underside main beam areas to be horribly pitted with air bubbles and splatter all over. Monster Splitter But Poor Customer Support

I bought this splitter in mid December 2020. It was shipped to me quickly, without incident. It was packed seemingly well on a pallet in a wooden crate. Taking the crate off the machine was challenging, as the splitter shifted during shipping and pressed against the walls of the crate, pinching the crate shut. Assembly was another bear.
