Keeps overheating and quits working

This is a lemon. Had repaired with lowes protection plan 2 months ago and now have same problem, overheating and won't start. I have been buying Whirlpool dryers for 30 years and it is evident they don't hold up and can't repair. Repair 2 months ago we had no dryer for a week because no parts on truck and then 2 days to order parts. If you dare buy this you had better purchase plan or you will go broke paying for repairs and having to pay a laundromat to dry your clothes.

Continual Problems

One nice feature of this dryer is the hamper door which opens to flat. Other than that, this dryer gave us continual problems. We replaced the motor a little after 3 years. The heating element was replaced soon after that. Four separate thermal sensors were most recently replaced. Today the machine again does not start and has been moved to the curb. This is all within 4 years.

Not repairable after only 2 years 7 months!

Just had a repair guy out to fix this dryer. Blower needs replacement and it needs a new motor. That part was not available for him to order. He said that if he could get the motor somewhere, it may be more cost effective to just buy a new dryer. This dryer has an updated model after I made the purchase, apparently they may have know about this defect between the blower and the motor?? Either way, consumer loses.

Great features and easy to use

Protection plan is a waste of $150

Think twice before spending money on protection plan. Initially we were glad we had the protection, but now I wish I would have saved the money and spent it on a repairman that would have been here in a timely manner. Heating element went out in 3 years, protection plan has been a hassle. Have been without a dryer for over a week and they are not getting to us for another week. Service is handled out of California and we are in TEXAS! They communicate via text and are slow to respond.

Nice dryer

I've had this dryer about 2 months so far so good it's a lot shorter in person than I thought it was online but that's not really an issue. Everything is push button no dials I got to get used to that. It's got a drying sensor on it a couple of times the clothes weren't 100% dry but I just did a touch up and it got them bone dry. Works great and will look for the matching washer when the time comes. Doesn’t hurt that we got it on clearance for a great price.

Love the Look and How Quiet It Is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like how quiet it is. It is beautiful. The only thing that brings me down to three stars is that it shuts the breaker down too often when drying towels. I have to do the loads much much smaller than I ever did with my old machine. Just surprised that I can't dry what the washer washes. I work to keep the loads where the directions said for washing, so why can't the dryer dry them?
